Mrs. Sala, 52, of Chesapeake, Va., formerly of Spotswood, died Feb. 1, 2013. Surviving are her parents, Francis and Marianne; her husband, Salvatore; two sons, Robert Hyers of Raleigh, N.C., and Cody Hyers of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Ashley Hyers of Chesapeake; a stepson, Anthony Sala of Virginia Beach; a stepdaughter, Annette Sala, also of Virginia Beach; a brother, Frank Serjeant of Montrose, Pa.; a sister, Monica Crandall of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. A funeral service is set for 11 a.m. Feb. 8 at Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in A.G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
